Someone dear to me passed away this week. She was crafty and like most people in our family she was multi-craftual. We like to collect crafting skills and try new things. Even in the last couple of years when she was in a nursing home in immense pain and not always in her right mind, she needed to keep her hands busy crocheting. Towards the end she couldn't make the perfect stitches she used to and forgot lots of what she knew. But she kept creating and crocheted yarn into wonky strips and squares. It's always good to create and keep your hands busy and I'm glad we could supply yarn and hooks for her to use.

I have many good memories of her to take with me and some of her handiwork too. Whenever I pick up a crochet hook I will definitely pause to remember her and honor her creative spirit. I will smile when I think of all the craft shows we went to together and all the times we went to Michael's, Joann's and the local craft stores. She left behind many different supplies that will be passed on to people who can use them and enjoy them. It's a circle of life for crafting and I hope when I am gone someone can use and enjoy my tools and books that I leave behind.
In no particular order here are some of her creative hobbies. I'm sure I've forgotten some and there are some I am not aware of.
